How do you know when you need to take time for yourself?

I think it is really hard to tell. Like, by the time I realize it, it is already too late… I have already fought with my partner or been grumpy with my toddler and then… BAM… I realize. I just need some time with my own thoughts.

Take it while the taking’s good. Or however that saying goes.
