Hey you, it’s Stephanie, I help Carissa out with Substack. Carissa and I thought that we should do a recap of what we liked so far this year. We hope you like it.
If you’ve been here for a while, you might already know that we hope to create a space on this Substack to work through the hard things in life. There is no escaping the painful moments and the hard feelings. And one thing that hard times universally can offer that is inherently positive is: moments of calibration, reflection, and creativity.
Call it the end of June Gloom, but something in the air this past month has felt like the entrance to a new season of life. Last week, we had our first monthly team lunch, to celebrate the accomplishments of the past month, to honor the good and the bad that being alive brings. So it feels fitting to also spend this time this week reflecting on everything great about Bad At Keeping Secrets.
Here are some posts from the past 6 months that are very near and dear to us:
This post resonated with many of you. About our responsibility towards others.
This post was a lot of fun. We worked through some of your toughest dilemmas that you submitted through IG.
And Wendy was one of our favorite interviews this year. We’ve read her book The Sunny Nihilist two times. At least.
What has been your favorite moment this year?
ALSO, everyone knows we are fans of Susan Weis-Bohlen, this is her substack:
BUT she just came out with a new book, and our copies arrived yesterday. We have two more to send out to you. Comment here if you are interested in learning more about Ayurvedic healing.
ALSO pt. 2 - coming up later this week, we are talking with Sarah Faith Gottesdiener of The Moon Studio.
Sarah is an artist, designer, writer, teacher, and Tarot Reader. You can shop her intersectional feminist line of clothing, accessories, art and paper goods through her store.
That’s all for now. I hope that this summer has been treating you well and you treat yourself to something nice this week.
Sending love, Stephanie
I am really interested in finding out more about Ayurvedic healing! Please add my hat in the ring to win a copy of the book! X
