Could what one feels after parenthood also be connected to how one has lived before that? I tried to live a full life & had a late child so after my son arrived nothing else was important. Not those Saturday night parties, not those hikes or late night movies.

I'm currently immersed in the project of learning as much as I can about trauma and trauma stewardship, particularly in regards to cultural, historical, or generational forms of trauma. What a beautiful gift Tarana Burke, Brené Brown, Prentis Hill, and others have given us all--in sharing their wisdom and stories through this book. I can't wait to read it!

I'll be honest... didn't know Prentis and the interview and quotes in your newsletter were mindblowing. I'd love to know them more and win this book. Plus, I'm a big Brené Brown fan.

PS. Thank you for what you're doing with your newsletter.

Been looking for more guidance on embodiment as a mode of healing and definitely interested in reading more of Prentis’ work. Would love a copy of “You Are Your Best Thing”!

I've been working on setting boundaries in relationships the past couple months. And Prentis's quote resonates deeply. Thanks for this one, Carissa.

In a world that can be hard to navigate, I think I would love to read this book. And the love letter to clothes. I have the same feelings about mine. It’s weird to have sentimental feelings about “stuff” but I do. The sentimental aspect comes from those important and meaningful moments in my life.
