This sounds like such a profound experience, wow. I think so often we put walls around what we really long for, so much so that we can’t even fully imagine it…it’s vulnerable to let ourselves sit in the joy of these longings potentially coming true because we’re then opening ourselves more deeply to the painful possibility that they won’t. But when we do let those walls come down, even for just a bit, it really can be a transformative experience.

Hello Carissa, I grew up as you did in a strict Catholic house, but Eastern philosophies always resonated with me. When I learned about Buddhism, meditation, and reincarnation in college, I was hooked. I've been meditating every day since my early 20s, and during meditations, I've had several visions. Some were pleasant; most were not, and most showed me the error of my ways. Writing is still my favorite way to lose myself and be in the moment. When I'm writing, the world disappears in character, dialogue, and world-building. BTW: I used one of your cards for a writer's prompt for a short story I wrote and posted on Substack. Thank you for the inspiration!!

Resonating and integrating ❤️. Living in the first year of recovery with so much change and yet so much newfound stability I find myself longing for a future in this new life. I often spend too much time in longing, and not enough in the present doing the work today for that future I long for.

I chant, meditate, etc. in moderation, no visions. I need MORE THC or Amanita !
